My Story

My interest in photography began at an early age. I fondly remember taking pictures of sunsets from my front porch with a hand-me-down Vivitar 110. In college I studied Sociology and Family Consumer Science becoming a High School teacher, until our first child was born. The birth of our little girl Cameron brought forth the end of one career and the beginning of two new ones.

My Husband had been fanatically searching for the perfect camera to capture all the newfound joys of parenthood. I on the other hand had been obsessively trying to create the perfect nursery, one suitable for the cover of a Pottery Barn catalog. I should mention at this point that my husband is known for living life on the frugal side and now that I was no longer working, my nursery budget was tighter than ever. I would have thought his camera budget would be the same. I managed to put a really nice nursery together on a budget and he managed to go completely overboard.

Soon after Cameron was born I began taking lots of pictures with the new camera. I created a website to share the pictures with family, and filled countless albums. In an effort to further my hobby I read every magazine, website, and book I could find. When I had free time I took some classes to further hone my skills. Friends and family started to take notice and even urged me to start a business. No... this was just a hobby, my pictures weren't that good. It wasn't until my husband and I went to one of the popular big name photo studios to have Cameron's pictures taken that we both realized I could do this.

It has been almost twelve years now of capturing families, newborns, children, high school seniors, head shots, and even tour buses!

Head Shots, High School Seniors, and Boudoir have become my absolute favorite genres of photography. I delight in giving my clients a fun experience and images they love.

My greatest joy in photographing people is to surprise them with how pleased they are with how they look in a photo. My goal is to capture a true, genuine expression of you to share with the world!

From our first consultation to the final delivery of your images, we are going to see and talk to each other a lot! I'm blessed to have made many good friends along the way.

 Excited to meet you!

xoxo,

Jaclyn
